Purpose

  • Clarify how NZAID interprets and applies evaluation within the context of the Activity Cycle
  • Illustrate how evaluation questions relate to evaluation criteria and Activity Cycle stages.

Key Objective

The key objective of evaluation during the Activity Cycle is to provide evidence and feedback on any particular Activity throughout each Activity stage. This ensures the Activity is evaluated during each of the identification, design, implementation and completion/transition stages.

Roles and responsibilities

There are a number of key roles and responsibilities throughout evaluation. Roles and expectations of both NZAID and its partners should be clearly specified. On-going monitoring is ideally the responsibility of the implementing partner.
