Evaluation Series | Structure of Evaluation and Review Reports
Managing ‘in-confidence’ information
NZAID intends making evaluation and review reports publicly available where possible. To facilitate this, reports should be written to allow all information to be included in the main body of the report or appendices of the report. In exceptional circumstances, information that could prevent the release of the report under the Official Information or Privacy Act may need to be included in the report. This information should be placed in an ‘in-confidence’ annex. Report writers should use the ‘Report Release Checklist’, Annex Three, of the NZAID Evaluation and Research Committee Process Guideline, to help identify this information. If the answer is ‘no’ to any of the questions in the Checklist, then consideration should be given to placing the relevant information in an ‘in-confidence’ annex3. The ‘in-confidence’ annex will not be published with the report.
3 Note that a higher security classification may be required depending on the content of the annex.
